What’s new in Retime: scheduling from a chat

September brought the Retime connector for Claude and other AI assistants, sign-in by email link, clearer plan-limit messages, and steadier team links and tasks.

The last update was about putting your booking page where your customers are. This one is about putting Retime where you already are when you plan your week.

More of that planning now happens in a conversation with an AI assistant. You ask what your Thursday looks like, you ask it to find a slot, you ask it to move a call. Until now the assistant could only suggest. Then you opened Retime and did the work yourself.

Here is what is new.

Connect Claude to your Retime account

Retime now has a connector for Claude, and for any other assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Once it is connected, you can manage your scheduling by asking in plain words. The connection uses OAuth 2.1, so the assistant never sees your password. You approve it once, and you can remove it whenever you like.

Retime is listed in the Claude connector directory, so you can find it and add it from inside Claude. See the setup steps.

What the assistant can look up

The assistant can read your scheduling, so it can answer questions with real data instead of guesses:

  • List your event types.
  • List your bookings, and open a single booking for its details.
  • Check availability for an event type.

A question like “what do I have on Thursday, and is there a free half hour after lunch?” now has a real answer.

What the assistant can do for you

The assistant can also act, with the same rules your booking page follows:

  • Book a meeting.
  • Reschedule a meeting.
  • Cancel a meeting.
  • Create a new event type.

Bookings from the assistant go through the same booking path as everything else, so they respect your availability and your calendars. They are also protected against duplicates. If a request is sent twice, for example after a dropped connection, Retime recognises the repeat and you still get one booking, not two.

Approve the connection with an email link

When you connect an assistant, Retime asks you to approve it. You no longer need to type a password on that screen.

Ask for a sign-in link instead. Retime emails you a one-time link, you open it, and you approve the connection. This helps if you do not remember your password, or never set one.

Plan limits, said plainly

If an action from the assistant goes over your plan’s limit, the assistant now shows you the real plan-limit message. Before, it got a vague error and could only tell you that something went wrong. Now it passes on the actual message, so you know what to do next.

Small fixes that matter

  • Tasks. Clearing a task’s assignee now unassigns it, and clearing its list moves it back to your inbox. Before, both were refused.
  • Team and round-robin links. When a host on a shared link is banned, the link now stays up and that host is dropped from it. Before, the whole link went down, even for the other hosts.
  • Connector safety. We hardened the connector: it rejects unknown time zones, it never exposes a guest’s manage link, and it has stricter rate limits.

Scheduling where the conversation is

The thread this time is the conversation.

A lot of planning starts as a sentence: “can we find time next week?” Retime can now take that sentence from your assistant and turn it into a booking, with the same locks, checks and audit trail as a booking made on your page.

Create your Retime account, then add Retime to Claude and try asking it for your next free slot.
