Retime for Shopify

Retime Booking is a Shopify app. You install it with an install link from Retime. It adds two theme blocks: a booking calendar you place on a page, and a button that opens the calendar in a panel.

What you get

  • Theme blocks, not code

Drag the booking block into the theme editor and pick the event type from a menu.

  • Your domain is allowed by the app

The app registers your storefront domain when you install it, so the widget loads at once.

  • A button or a full calendar

Use the inline calendar on a service page, or the button block in a smaller space.

  • Match your store colours

The block has a colour setting that carries into the booking form.

  • Take payment with the booking

An event type with a price collects payment through Stripe before the time is held.

How to connect Shopify

  1. Create a Retime account

Sign up and connect the calendar you want to use.

  2. Install Retime Booking

Open the install link from Retime and choose your store. The app is not in the Shopify App Store yet.

  3. Connect your organization

The app asks for the connect code from Organization, then Embed, in Retime.

  4. Add the block to a page

Open the theme editor, click Add block, and choose Retime booking or Retime booking button.

  5. Pick the event type

Choose the event type in the block settings, or leave it empty to use your default one.

  6. Save and test

Save the theme and make one test booking on the live storefront.

Questions about Shopify

Does the block work on any page?

Yes. Add it to a product page, a landing page, or the home page through the theme editor.

Do I need to know code?

No. The blocks are part of the theme editor. Editing theme files is not necessary.

Does a booking create a Shopify order?

No. A booking stays in Retime. Payment for a paid event type is taken through Stripe, not through Shopify checkout.

Can I use a custom domain?

Yes. The app registers the storefront domain in use. When you change domains, open the app again so it registers the new one.
