Retime and WhatsApp
Retime does not send WhatsApp messages itself. Two things work today. You can share your booking link in any chat, and you can send booking messages through a WhatsApp provider with a webhook.
What you get
A link works in any chat
Your booking address is a normal link. Paste it in a chat, a status, or a business profile.
The times stay correct
Whoever opens the link sees your real free time in their own time zone.
SMS reminders are built in
Retime already sends reminders by text message, which reaches people without a chat app.
A provider can send the chat message
The booking webhook gives a provider such as the WhatsApp Business API everything it needs.
How to connect WhatsApp
Copy your booking link
Open Links in Retime and copy the address of the event type.
Put it where people chat
Add the link to your WhatsApp Business profile, your away message, and your pinned reply.
For messages, pick a provider
Choose a WhatsApp Business API provider and get its sending credentials.
Add a Retime webhook
Open Account, then Webhooks, and send booking.created to your service.
Send the confirmation
Your service builds an approved message template and sends it to the guest number.
Questions about WhatsApp
Does Retime send WhatsApp messages?
No. Retime sends email, and it sends SMS reminders. WhatsApp needs a provider and an approved template.
Can I collect a phone number when someone books?
Yes. Add a question to the event type and mark it required.
Does a wa.me link help?
It opens a chat with you. It does not book a time. Send your Retime link when you want the calendar to do the work.
