Video meetings · Connect from your Retime account
Retime for Google Meet
Google Meet uses the Google Calendar connection you already have. Set an event type to Meet, and Retime asks Google for a new conference link each time somebody books.
What you get
No extra account to connect
The Google Calendar connection is enough. There is nothing else to sign in to.
A fresh link each booking
Google creates the conference on the calendar event, so each guest gets a separate room.
The link is in both places
Guests see it in the calendar invitation and in the Retime confirmation email.
Works with personal and work accounts
A Gmail account and a Google Workspace account both create Meet links.
How to connect Google Meet
Connect Google Calendar
Open Account, then Calendars, and connect your Google account.
Open an event type
Set the location to Google Meet and save.
Check the write calendar
Meet links are created on the calendar that receives new bookings, so make sure that calendar belongs to the same Google account.
Test one booking
Book a time on your own link and open the Meet link in the invitation.
Questions about Google Meet
Why is there no Meet link on a booking?
The most common cause is a disconnected Google Calendar, or an event written to a calendar in another account. Reconnect the calendar and book again.
Can I reuse one Meet room for every booking?
Yes. Set the event type location to a fixed link and paste the room address there.
Do guests need a Google account?
No. Guests can join a Meet call from the link. Your Google settings decide whether they wait for you to admit them.
